EMERGENCY & STABILIZATION FOR HOUSING

Our program was created to provide compassionate, culturally responsive support to immigrants and vulnerable individuals within the West African and broader immigrant communities who may be experiencing temporary displacement, emergency hardship, unsafe living conditions, or barriers to accessing stable housing.

If you're facing a housing crisis, we're here to help — not just with a single payment, but with real support: case management, resource navigation, and hands-on coordination with landlords and providers to help you move from crisis toward stability.

Whether you're behind on rent, facing eviction, dealing with a sudden financial setback, or just not sure where to turn — we're here to help.

In order to assist you, we focus on 4 areas:

Housing Preservation

Helping households remain safely housed when possible.

Crisis Stabilization

Addressing the immediate barriers that could leave to eviction or homeless.

Resource Connection

Linking households with the right public, nonprofit, and community resources.

Longer-Term Stability

Helping participants build a realistic play beyond the immediate crisis.

How We Help

Emergency Rent Assistance

When funding is available, we provide financial support to help prevent an unnecessary loss of housing.

Eviction Prevention

If you're facing an immediate housing crisis, we can help you understand your options, gather what you need, and connect with the right resources — including legal referrals when needed.

Case Management

Housing problems rarely stand alone. Our case management looks at the full picture — food, transportation, income, health, and family needs — not just the immediate crisis.

.Temporary Lodging
When safe permanent housing isn't immediately available, we help identify short-term options, including motel/lodging referrals and shelter connections.

Resource Navigation & Referrals
We help connect you with county, state, and community resources — and when we make a referral, we follow up to make sure the connection actually worked.

Service Area

The program primarily serves Hennepin County, Anoka County, and surrounding Twin Cities communities, including Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Coon Rapids, Ramsey, and nearby communities.

Requests from outside our primary service area may still be considered, depending on funding, partnerships, and available resources.

At PATH Foundation, we understand that housing instability can quickly become a crisis for vulnerable individuals and families navigating hardship, displacement, financial challenges, immigration-related uncertainty, or sudden life transitions.

We work to help:

community resources,
stabilization support during difficult periods of transition.

Our approach is rooted in dignity, compassion, cultural understanding, and practical cooperation

Many immigrants and vulnerable households face barriers that make accessing traditional support systems difficult, including:

Transportation limitations
Language and cultural barriers
Financial hardship
Fear and uncertainty related to immigration situations
Lack of community support networks
Limited understanding of available resources

We seek to help reduce these barriers by offering trusted, community-centered guidance and support in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner.

While PATH Foundation does not operate permanent housing facilities, we work to assist individuals and families in identifying available temporary support options and connecting them with appropriate resources and community partners whenever possible.

We believe no individual or family should feel abandoned during periods of hardship or transition.

Our Support Services May Include:

Temporary lodging referrals and coordination
Emergency motel or short-term lodging assistance (when available)
Housing navigation and community resource referrals
Transportation assistance related to temporary lodging needs
Support connecting with shelters, housing organizations, and community partners
Case management and stabilization support referrals
Emotional wellness and counseling support connections.
